Let's Work To Reconnect With Our Bodies

Program Description

In this intimate program, Monique will support you through a powerful anti-diet & anti-racism framework to explore the insecurities you have in your body to work towards dismantling diet culture and towards feeling more at peace and safe with yourself. It's imperative that you understand that this work begins with understanding the origins of fatphobia and its roots in white supremacy, so the program includes two self-paced lectures that introduce this critical aspect of this work. This will be explored more throughout the program.

What To Expect

  • Week 1

Lecture conversation to discuss how we’ve come to develop body insecurities: diet culture, white supremacy by another name

  • Week 2 & 3

Guided practice to explore your relationship with your body; use a helpful framework to identify insecurities and work towards building more neutrality and appreciation for your body

  • Group Discussions

This program features group discussions to support and connect one another in building more peace and safety with yourself.
    *Session replays are included

What Monique hopes people who do this experience will get out of it

My main goal is that people will develop the tools and confidence to dismantle diet culture and feel safer and at peace in their bodies while supporting others in the journey. I hope people understand that Black women of size created this movement and must remain at the forefront.

FAQ's

FOR LIVE GROUP EXPERIENCE....

  • What If I Miss a Session?

If you miss a session, that's okay. The live sessions are recorded and will be made available to you so you can listen to them and do the homework in time for the next session.

  • What if I feel too embarrassed or afraid to ask questions?

This is where you have to be okay with feeling uncomfortable so you can learn and grow. This is a grace-filled place to ask the questions you're embarrassed to ask.

  • What if I don't do the homework before the next session?

This experience is what you put into it. The more you do the more you will get out of it. I won't be checking your homework, as this work is your responsibility. But I do encourage you to do the homework as it is designed to enhance the learning experience.
