Read MoreEvery question you have about anti-racism is answered here, so well worth the 90 minutes and monetary investment in this crash course. Prepare to feel uncomfortable, no matter how much work you've done inside yourself to identify your racism and how white supremacy benefits you. Monique is unwavering in her convictions, and is a gifted communicator. What came up for me again and again was admiration for her boundaries, along with some work I need to do on how I feel about a woman being this stern - most of us white women are cool with a man being stern, but not a woman, white or Black. That needs to change if we want to dismantle the patriarchy. Unapologetically demanding to be paid (white women are terrible at unapologetically demanding to be paid), calling us out on the free work we ask our Black friends and strangers to do - this really challenged me and was a big aha. Hell, even the stuff I'm writing here could be racist, but I'm prepared to be corrected if so. It's time to get to work. Thank you!

Read MoreI can't say enough good about this class, it has given me a framework to understand everything I have learned since and everything I learned before. The quote from Monique in the title is one of the biggest things I have taken away from the class, reframing the work as action instead of identity, and not getting caught up in centering myself and my own emotions makes all the rest of the work possible.
