A course to develop sustainable anti-oppression practices rooted in Black liberation.

Course Schedule & Important Info

  • Course runs: March – November 2027
  • Group sessions with Monique: 1st Wednesday of each month, 7:00–9:00 PM EST (subject to group availability)
  • July and August are self-paced months. No group sessions will occur during these months.
  • 1x month peer meeting (day and time to be determined by the group)
  • Pre-work is required – we recommend enrolling early to get started

Course Overview

Money Work is a transformative course designed to support white people in building sustainable, accountable practices of anti-racism rooted in wealth redistribution and Black liberation.

In this experience, we'll explore:

  • Historical exploration of money and exploitation
  • Unpacking the wage gap and the impact of financial disenfranchisement on the Black community
  • White feminism ain’t it; unpacking the perpetuation of harm done with money by White women
  • Explore your personal money legacy—understanding your family wealth story
  • Exploring your money beliefs and behaviors
  • Unpacking consumerism and the toxic shopping habits we carry
  • Developing an affirming money ethic
  • Developing a wealth redistribution plan
